I’m an Abstract Artist and photographer based in Germany. I work with acrylics and various materials, like resin and glass in Mixed Media techniques. I also create conceptual photography. I bring people closer to their creative minds. I do this through my artwork and offer courses and workshops in my art studio in Viersen-Dülken, NRW.
Discovering abstract art was a pivotal moment in my life. Embracing and nourishing our creativity can positively impact all areas of our lives. Even just looking at Abstract Art positively affects our minds and well-being!
Have you already discovered your creative path? Great, then I can offer you exciting opportunities for your creative outlet. If you aren’t there yet, congratulations! You’ve just taken the first step towards a more vivid and inspiring life. Let’s do this together!
Abstract Art & Mixed Media
On Instagram, you can peek behind the scenes of my work! My portfolio provides detailed insight into the entire spectrum of my creative projects.
Please feel free to ask about acquiring my artwork. Almost all pieces online are looking for a new home!
I do take commission requests as well.
I offer the opportunity to look at my artwork in the studio. This way, you can get a complete, real-life impression of the piece you want to make yours. If you are from the Region of Viersen, Mönchengladbach, Krefeld, Düsseldorf or Köln, we can also arrange a “try on” period, where you can let the canvas of your choice sit in your home for a limited period. Sometimes, that’s the best way to determine if a painting fits your home & your personality!
1 – Reduced stress and anxiety
Studies have shown that just looking at abstract art can have a calming effect on us. This can be helpful for people who are feeling stressed or anxious but also act as an excellent practice for self-care.
2 – Improved cognitive function
Abstract art can challenge our brains to make sense of what we see, which can help improve our cognitive function. Several studies featured in the journal “Frontiers in Human Neuroscience” suggest that abstract art activates brain states that are harder to access otherwise and helps to create new emotional and cognitive associations. Another study provides evidence artistic activities improve participants’ attention and working memory.
3 – Improved problem-solving skills
Viewing or creating abstract art can stimulate creative thinking and encourage individuals to approach problems from new perspectives. A study published in the journal “Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts” (2014) found that exposure to abstract art led to greater cognitive flexibility, essential for creative problem-solving.
4 – Encouraging self-expression
Abstract art can create space for emotional expression and processing, allowing individuals to connect with their feelings and thoughts. It can also serve as a way to express your inner world non-verbally.
5 – Finding a community
Abstract art can be a way for people to connect and share their thoughts and feelings about the world. When we look at abstract art with others, we can discuss our different interpretations of the artwork. That can help us to build relationships with more understanding and empathy.
